Coney Island Mermaids
Once a year we venture out to Coney Island to celebrate, I'm not sure what really, but mermaids! Yay! If you've never been, there's a big parade, sea creatures of all sorts, and pasties to cover the naughty bits.
We bring the kids and the child in us also comes out to play. Dress up is encouraged. However, mine came only in the form of color but there's always talk of how to do it better (matching outfits, blasting music, and of course a dance routine!).
